In low-power standby mode, HomePod consumes between 1.71W and 1.76W at voltages of 100V, 115V, and 230V, which is almost negligible. While playing music (using iTunes to play music at 50% of the volume), HomePod's power consumption is also between 8.69W and 9.25W. The power efficiency at three voltages is 89.9% (100V), 90.0% (115V), and 89.7% (230V), respectively.
Apple claims that HomePod consumes less power than regular home LED bulbs when playing music. This reference object is an ENERGY STAR qualified A19 LED bulb with an average power consumption of 9 to 10W. In other words, listening to songs with HomePod is not as power hungry.
In addition, Apple also listed the power consumption comparison chart of HomePod under different voltages. Among them, the Japanese voltage is 100V, the voltage in the United States and Canada is 115V, and the voltage in the UK is 230V.
