Overview:
Although power management is critical to the reliable operation of new electronic systems, in today's digitally managed systems, the regulator may be the last "blind spot" that still exists. As far as regulators are concerned, there are few ways. Directly configure or monitor critical power system operating parameters. Therefore, power supply designers who want full digital control must use a mix of sequencers, microcontrollers, and voltage monitors to set basic regulator startup and safety features. Digitally programmable DC/DC converters are currently available, especially those designed for VRM core power supplies with VID output voltage control, but such converters with specific application objectives cannot directly communicate important operating parameters. , for example, real-time current.
The LTC3880/LTC3880-1 combines a dual-output synchronous buck DC/DC controller with full power management through an I2C-based PMBus bus, which solves complex power system management issues. PMBus can be used to set the output voltage, voltage margin, switching frequency, sequencing, and several other operating parameters (see the PMBus Control section below).

The LTC3880 also allows monitoring of the power supply through a 16-bit data acquisition system that provides digital readback of input and output voltages and currents, duty cycles, and temperature, including peaks of important parameters. The LTC3880 also includes extensive fault logging through interrupt flags and non-volatile memory, a "black box" recorder that stores the state of the converter's operation before a fault occurs.
One of the main benefits of digital power system management is reduced design costs and faster time to market.
The LTC3880/LTC3880-1 greatly simplify the design of complex multi-track systems with a free and downloadable LTpowerPlay development software, a PC-based full development environment (see Figure 6). In this environment, online testing (ICT) and board debugging can be done with just a few mouse clicks without soldering to the “white wire†anchor. Since real-time telemetry data can be used, design results are immediately available, making it possible to predict power system failures and take preventive action immediately.
Perhaps most importantly, DC/DC converters with digital management capabilities allow designers to develop “green†power systems that optimize energy efficiency while meeting system performance goals (calculation speed, data transfer rate, etc.). Optimization can be done at point of load, board and rack, or even during the installation phase, reducing infrastructure costs and total cost of ownership over the life of the product.
To provide optimal performance tuning, the LTC3880 adheres to accurate reference and temperature compensated analog current mode control loops to produce tight ±0.5% DC output voltage accuracy. The analog control loop facilitates very easy compensation, and the loop is calibrated to be unaffected by operating conditions, which also enables cycle-by-cycle current limit and produces fast and accurate voltage and load transient response. No errors related to ADC quantization were seen in products using digital control.
The LTC3880 has a built-in voltage regulator for increased integration, while the LTC3880-1 allows an external bias voltage for maximum efficiency. Both devices are available in a thermally enhanced 6mm × 6mm QFN-40 package with a temperature range of -40°C to 105°C (Class E version) or -40°C to 125°C (Class I version) .

The figures stated in the catalog specifications are based on use at ordinary room temperature catalog specifications re based on use at ordinary room temperature (approximately20~25℃.
If a geared motor is used outside the prescribed temperature range,the grease on the gearhead area will become unable to function normally and the motor will become unable to start.Depending on the temperature conditions ,it may be possible to deal with them by changing the grease of the motor's parts.Please feel free to consult with us about this.

Storage temperature range:
Dc geared motors should be stored ta a temperature of -15~65℃.
In case of storage outside this range,the grease on the gearhead area will become unable to function normally and the motor will become unable to start.
Service life:
