Xiaomi held a summer conference on July 27th. In addition to the Red Rice Pro that was announced early on, the millet notebook that was rumored to be launched nearly two years ago is also a product of great significance. Before the completion of the evaluation, we first look at the appearance of these two new products.
Red Rice Pro is familiar with the face, but with the home button of the front fingerprint identification program, the curvature of the 2.5D glass is not obvious, and the border control is also available.
There is no logo on the top, the LED indicator on the left side of the handset, the light and distance sensors on the right, and the camera. The location of this camera is a bit too close, and it may be a little troublesome to take a self-portrait.
There is a full circle of plastic washer around the screen, which greatly reduces the hand feeling of 2.5D glass. There is a CNC bright face chamfer on the metal body and the transition between the front and the back. Noise-reducing microphone, headphone jack, and infrared transmitter on the top. In addition, you can see in the light-colored interface, the black edge of Red Rice Pro is still quite obvious.
Red Rice Pro uses the Type-C interface, which is the first Type-C interface in the Red Rice range. Both sides are speakers and microphones.
The body holds the left sim card slot, right volume and power button.
Red Rice Pro uses an all-metal body and is manufactured using a CNC cutting process. The back side uses a high gloss anodizing technology + wire drawing process. With the large curvature of the back, quite the taste of the HTC M8 that year, it can be said without a doubt that this is Xiaomi's most beautiful metal back cover.
The back of the two cameras sandwiched a two-color temperature flash, on top of the use of the 13 million-pixel Sony IMX258 sensor, the bottom of the 500 million pixel camera with Samsung sensor is only responsible for recording depth of field information. Xiaomi claims that its blur effect is comparable to that of SLR cameras, but the HTC M8, Glory 6 Plus, Huawei P9 and other models tell everyone that there should not be too high expectations.
From the point of view of value, the red rice still follows the old law of the best black, followed by white, and gold the most low.
The exterior design of the millet notebook Air is more similar to that of the Founder, 13.3 inches and 12.5 inches, except that the dimensions are slightly different, and there is no obvious difference in appearance. Below is the 13.3-inch version of gold and the 12.5-inch version of silver.
The A side of the millet notebook air (the topmost side) does not have a logo or any logo, and even a bit like a mouse pad
This side A is very suitable for attaching various protection stickers to enhance forcing.
The 13.3-inch version of the D-side (bottommost side) has a large row of grilles on the back and speaker openings on the front. In order to dissipate space, the feet (especially the back three) are high.
Because the 12.2-inch version is core-M, and it is not alone, the heat dissipation requirements are very low. The D-side only sees the speaker openings and a few feet.
The bottom of the screen on the B surface is the only place where the Xiaomi logo appears. The black border looks good in the black interface.
But unfortunately, the thickness of the entire screen portion is larger. The right side of the fuselage is a full-size USB interface, Type-C interface and microphone openings.
The expansion angle of the screen is limited by the position of the screen itself, and the opening and closing angle is not large. This is not good news for users who like to code on the knees. In addition, the power button is also integrated next to the delete button. Although the actual use of this layout is not significant, the traditional design is more attractive.
There is no arc on the island/chocolate keyboard, and the edge has a slight transition, but the up and down buttons are less popular layouts.
Detailed evaluation will be completed in the near future, so stay tuned.
