Tunnel lighting energy-saving standards are further enriched

Recently, the Ministry of Transport's standard, metrology and quality research project "Standardization Research on Energy Saving Technology for Highway Tunnel Lighting" passed the acceptance test. The project proposed a series of standards for road tunnel lighting energy-saving technology.
Highway tunnel lighting system is of great significance for ensuring road safety and improving vehicle traffic efficiency. Tunnel lighting energy consumption has become the largest energy consumption expenditure of tunnel operation management units.
Tunnel lighting
The project takes the highway tunnel lighting energy conservation as the core, establishes the highway tunnel lighting energy-saving standard framework system, and carries out research on the key technical indicators and test methods of tunnel lighting fixtures and controllers, combined with the results of tunnel engineering field test and laboratory simulation. The energy-saving optimization design scheme of tunnel lighting is proposed, and the economic and energy-saving benefits of the lighting system's life cycle are analyzed.
The research results have formed three drafts for the transportation industry standards. The promotion and application of the results will promote the application of energy-saving lighting fixtures and control technology in the field of highway tunnel lighting, and improve the energy-saving level of road operations. The project is undertaken by the Highway Science Research Institute of the Ministry of Transport.
