At the "LED Technology Symposium 2007", Stanley Electric introduced three issues that need to be solved when using white LEDs as automotive headlamps.
First, the sludge that adapts to the heat of the engine and the splash in front is maintenance-free for more than three years in a harsh working environment.
Second, adapt to the restrictions of the regulations. The headlights of the car must be asymmetrically lighted so that the illumination is reduced so that the driver of the opposite vehicle is not glaring and is raised to the point where it can illuminate the driver's field of vision. In order to adapt to this regulation, the current headlamps have nearly 2/3 of the light. Stanley believes that when using LEDs as headlamps, it is necessary to use multiple LEDs to meet the regulatory requirements while forming an efficient light distribution mode.
Third, the problem of fogging of the lens must be solved. Compared with halogen lamps and HID lamps, LEDs have fewer infrared wavelength components. The temperature of the lens is not easy to rise. Therefore, after the moisture enters the headlights, the lens is easy to fog. Therefore, it is necessary to adopt a non-fogging design that takes into consideration factors such as structure, material, and external airflow.
