Overview:
ECL power switches are often used for high-speed pulse modulation of lasers. It has both fast switching speeds and good current pulse waveforms. From the circuit structure point of view, ECL is an unsaturated digital logic. During operation, the crystal line is effectively amplified and cut off between the two states. This article describes the application circuit schematic of the ECL power switch.
