Semiconductor lighting boosts low carbon economy
Semiconductor lighting and traditional lighting and display light sources have shown good energy-saving effects in terms of light efficiency. For example, landscape lighting energy saving 70%, LCD TV backlight energy saving 50%, road lighting energy saving 40% -50%, LED indoor downlights, spotlights and other lighting products can save 50% energy compared with traditional halogen lamps, fluorescent lamps. Since the launch of the National Semiconductor Lighting Project in 2003, the relevant policies in the Science and Technology Research Program of the Ministry of Science and Technology and the New Materials in the 863 Program have supported the technological innovation and industrialization of semiconductor lighting. Several ministries have also arranged special funds to support them. China's semiconductor lighting industry and technology have made significant progress, initially forming a relatively complete R & D and industrial system from upstream materials, midstream chip preparation to downstream device packaging and integration applications.
