Do not invest a penny to save more than 20%

It is understood that since the new century, with the development of the city's economy and society, the scale of urban street lights and landscape lights has doubled in a short period of time. One data is that in 2000, the number of street lamps in the city was 4,900 ç›, and there were basically no landscape lights. By the first half of this year, the city's street lamps had increased to 30,937 ç›, and the landscape lighting was 167,782 ç›.
Lighting has increased, and energy consumption has also increased. The road to energy saving in urban streetlights has therefore been included in the agenda of relevant departments. In 2003, the Municipal Lighting Management Office chose to cooperate with a Shenzhen company through repeated inspections and actual measurements to introduce 72 energy-saving devices through a zero investment model. In January 2006, the city introduced 9 energy-saving devices again.
The so-called zero investment model, that is, energy-saving equipment, technology, installation, and maintenance are all handled by the Shenzhen company, and the electricity bill saved by the city in the next five years is 70% to the other party to offset the corresponding expenses. Wang Changlin said: In this way, although there is no investment in a penny project, the urban-related street lights and landscape lights have an average energy saving of 23.78%, and the highest is 40%. In the three years of 2005 and 2007, the city's street lamp industry saved 10.18 million kWh of electricity.
Street lights comprehensive energy saving attracts national attention

At the same time, the City Lighting Management Office has also adjusted the number and time of lighting, and widely used high-voltage sodium lamps, metal halide lamps and other high-efficiency lamps, and scientifically and reasonably maintain lighting facilities to save energy.
Since the beginning of this year, the Municipal Lighting Management Office has fully launched a set of domestic advanced and provincial-wide optimal computer monitoring and management system, enabling the city's street lights and landscape lights to achieve the most reasonable switching and control, thus achieving the goal of energy saving. In addition, the city is also trying to introduce solar and wind energy street lighting in the sections of Zhujiang Liyuan and Huanghe North Road.
