Overview:
In order to reduce the power consumption of multi-mode switching power supply control chip in light load and standby mode, and improve the working efficiency under full load conditions, a design scheme of switching power supply control chip power supply system is proposed, which realizes its startup and shutdown. High efficiency and low power operation under various working conditions such as off, heavy load, light load and standby. The power supply system mainly comprises an undervoltage lockout circuit, a digital module power supply unit and two different analog module power supply units, and a state detection module and a mode control logic unit, which can realize power-on and power-down control of the power supply, and can be based on the power supply. Load conditions control the turn-on and turn-off of each module for low power operation. The system has been applied to the design of a green multi-mode flyback switch controller, which has achieved the effects of improving power efficiency and reducing standby power consumption. The chip is designed in a 1.5 um BiCMOS process. Tests have shown that the specifications of the designed power supply have met the design requirements.
