Suntech to list 290W polysilicon photovoltaic modules

Suntech Power Japan, the Japanese subsidiary of China Suntech Solar Power Co., Ltd., will launch two new polysilicon photovoltaic cell module new products for the public industrial market in Japan, including the “STP290-24/Vd” with a maximum output of 290W.

The STP290-24/Vd has a nominal maximum output power of 290W and a conversion efficiency of 14.9%. The output tolerance is 0/+5%. The size is 1956mm x 992mm x 50mm and 72 photovoltaic cells are used. The weight is 27.0 kg. The nominal maximum output power of the "STP240-20/Wd" that will be listed at the same time is 240W, the conversion efficiency is 14.8%, and the output tolerance is 0/+5%. The size is 1640mm x 992mm x 50mm and uses 60 units. The weight is 19.1kg.

As a photovoltaic cell module for the public industry, Suntech Power has listed its products with the maximum output power of 230W, 235W, 280W and 285W. The new products will be expanded to six types of photovoltaic products. The new product is resistant to wind pressure and snow, and it is also said that it can be used for a long time under severe conditions. As with the original product, 25 years of PV module output is guaranteed.

Suntech exhibited the PV module new products at "PVEXPO2012" held at Tokyo Ariake International Convention & Exhibition Center from February 29th to March 2nd, 2012. Suntech Public Relations said: “The price is inconvenient to disclose, but the new product is price-competitive. The company’s cumulative PV module shipments are number one in the world and can supply high-quality components in a stable production system.”
