21ic News Alliance announced that its company will launch Fingerprints FPC1080A-based fingerprint recognition solution, which can provide fingerprint recognition applications for many types of mobile phones. The fingerprint identification solution includes a fingerprint scanner/sensor and a fingerprint algorithm, and the fingerprint algorithm can be embedded in the mobile phone platform or embedded in the server system of the fingerprint identification data center. In order to further ensure the stability of the system, this launch also includes the RK PX2 processor from Rockchip.

Current fingerprint image acquisition principles include: optical technology, semiconductor silicon technology, and ultrasonic technology. The silicon sensor becomes one of the plates of the capacitor, and the finger is the other plate, which uses the capacitance difference between the ridges and valleys of the fingerprint line of the hand and the smooth silicon sensor to form an 8-bit grayscale image. The advantage of silicon technology is that it can achieve better image quality than optical technology on a smaller surface, achieving a resolution of 200 to 300 pixels on a 1 cm x 1.5 cm surface.

With the further development of mobile internet, the mobile payment market has also developed rapidly. This provides a very good external environment for fingerprint recognition technology to spread in the scale of smart terminals. In response to this market demand, the United Nations General Assembly launched a capacitive fingerprint identification solution based on Fingerprints FPC1080A for mobile communication, home entertainment, smart vehicles and other applications requiring identification.

The fingerprint recognition solution uses FPC's FPC scratch-type (sliding) fingerprint sensor FPC1080A from Sweden, which replaces the AES1711 and features the smallest and ultra-low power consumption and provides the world's leading 508 dpi image resolution quality. The chip combines the high-end quality of FPC with easy-to-integrate features, making it an ideal sensor for mass-market devices such as mobile phones, notebooks, smart cards and USB keys. FPC1080A also integrates finger browsing hardware support to replace the joystick or other similar browsing system support.
