Veeco Introduces Three New Series of GaN MOCVD Devices

Veeco (NASDAQ: VECO) today announced the launch of three new market-leading TurboDisc® metal organic chemical weather deposition devices (MOCVD) for the production of high-brightness light-emitting diodes (LEDs): TurboDisc MaxBright® M TM, TurboDisc MaxBright MHPTM and TurboDisc K465i HPTM.
MaxBright M: A more compact modular Veeco multi-reactor chamber. Compared with MaxBright, MaxBright M can provide better service convenience and increase plant area utilization by 15%. This model has better layout configuration flexibility to suit the site requirements of different customers.
MaxBright MHP: A high performance version of the modular "M" model. MaxBright MHP's on-chip wavelength uniformity is 20% higher than MaxBright. As a result of technological advances, thermal and flow properties are improved, so yield is improved. The MaxBright MHP is less expensive to use than MaxBright.
K465i HP: A high performance version of Veeco's single reaction chamber MOCVD equipment. The on-chip wavelength uniformity is increased by 20% compared to the K465i and the cost of use is lower.
These new devices support 2, 4, 6 and 8 inch wafer growth. Existing MaxBright and K465i devices can be easily upgraded to the high performance version in the field. All Veeco's MOCVD equipment has TurboDisc technology with low maintenance requirements, resulting in the longest continuous production time and highest throughput.
Dr. William J. Miller, Executive Vice President of Veeco Process Equipment, said: "This new range of products offers great flexibility for our clients' capital investment and better operation of their equipment in their unique production environment. MaxBright M, MaxBright MHP And the innovation of the K465i HP stems from our listening to our customers and our focus on improving equipment performance, which drives productivity and yield. Yield and yield are two key factors in our customers' success."
Veeco Chairman & CEO John R. PeELer added: "This new line of products based on our industry-leading expertise in technology and automation can help reduce production costs and accelerate global LED lighting adoption. Veeco Will continue to focus on MOCVD equipment that offers the industry's largest capacity, highest throughput and lowest cost of use."
According to the IMS survey, the K465i device launched in 2010 is the best-selling MOCVD device of the year. MaxBright, launched in 2011, was the best-selling machine of the year. The Journal of Compound Semiconductor recently awarded the "Compound Semiconductor Manufacturing Award" to Veeco, commenting that "MaxBright equipment is the biggest breakthrough in the compound semiconductor manufacturing industry in the past year."

Solar Panel

solar panel

A solar cell panel, solar electric panel, photo-voltaic (PV) module, PV panel or solar panel is an assembly of photovoltaic solar cells mounted in a (usually rectangular) frame, and a neatly organised collection of PV panels is called a photovoltaic system or solar array. Solar panels capture sunlight as a source of radiant energy, which is converted into electric energy in the form of direct current (DC) electricity. Arrays of a photovoltaic system can be used to generate solar electricity that supplies electrical equipment directly, or feeds power back into an alternate current (AC) grid via an inverter system.
