Domestic brands become the biggest beneficiaries of commercial air-conditioning subsidies

Recently, the Ministry of Finance and the National Development and Reform Commission and other departments issued the “Implementation Regulations for the Promotion of Energy Efficient Products and Energy-saving Unitary Air Conditioners and Chillers,” (hereinafter referred to as the “Implementing Rules”), which clarified the energy efficiency of Class 1 and Energy Efficiency Units. A chiller with a capacity of no more than 100 kW will receive a 200- to 6,000-yuan energy-saving Huimin financial subsidy for the period from November 1 this year to October 31 next year. As domestic brands account for the largest proportion of these two types of products, they will be the biggest beneficiaries.

According to the "Implementing Rules" requirements, the unit can only meet the national standard GB19576-2004 "energy efficiency limit value of unit air conditioners and energy efficiency rating" as long as the energy efficiency of the unit is above class 2 and can be satisfied. The chillers require that the cooling capacity range must be less than or equal to 100kW, and the product energy efficiency rating must be above Class 2.

It is understood that the basic unit and home air-conditioning subsidies are basically the same. The "Implementation Rules" stipulates that a fixed speed unit with a rated cooling capacity of less than or equal to 7100W, a Class 1 energy efficiency subsidy of 300 yuan, a Grade 2 energy efficiency subsidy of 200 yuan, an inverter air conditioner 1st level subsidy of 350 yuan, and a Grade 2 energy efficiency subsidy of 280 yuan. The chillers can receive up to 6,000 yuan in subsidies. Generally, 100 kW chillers will cost around 100,000 yuan, and subsidies will account for 5%-6% of the product price.

Whether energy subsidies can be obtained or not, the promotion of energy-efficient products is an important indicator. According to the "Implementing Rules," the number of units to be promoted per year must not be less than 30,000 units (sets), or the cumulative cooling capacity of high-efficiency units with rated cooling capacity greater than 14,000 watts should be no less than 30,000 kW; the number of chiller units to be promoted Not less than 1,000 units (sets), or cumulative cooling capacity of not less than 20,000 kilowatts.
