According to reports, Samsung has begun to cooperate with Samsung Display and its partner Qualcomm. In order to complete the work of the fingerprint sensor, Samsung Display will work with Qualcomm to combine the OLED display panel with the ultrasonic sensor. The sensor will be attached to the back of the display panel and the user's fingerprint can be read as long as the user places the fingertip on the front of the panel.
Sammobile said that Samsung may have chosen to use ultrasonic sensors instead of the optical screen fingerprint sensors that Chinese manufacturers are using because the former is more accurate than the latter.
The Galaxy S10 is the 10th anniversary of the S series and will be unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show in January 2019. In the coming month, Samsung is expected to launch its highly anticipated foldable phone at Mobile World Congress.
