Recently, the European Commission's Non-Food Rapid Alert System (RAPEX) has issued quality notifications on three domestic LED floodlights. The three notified countries are all Hungary.
The first product notified was an LED floodlight made in China. The reported product power is 20 watts, the product model is unknown, the product code is 591666591888, and the OECD Portal Category is 78,000,000. (Electrical appliances).
The second notified product is a V-TAC brand LED floodlight made in China. The notified product has a power of 10 watts, the product model is VT-4711 (SKU: 5623), and the product code is 3800157 600552. The Cooperation and Development Organization Industry Classification Code (OECD Portal Category) is 78 million (electrical appliances).
The third notified product is a V-TAC brand LED floodlight made in China. The reported product power is 20 watts, the product model is VT-4720 (SKU: 5362), and the product code is 3 800230 623850. The OECD Portal Category is 78 million (electrical appliances).
The three products have serious quality risks, their cables are not properly protected, and artificial pull and improper installation are easy to expose them, posing a risk of electric shock to consumers. This product does not meet the requirements of the EU Low Voltage Directive and the relevant European standard EN60598.
At present, the EU has taken mandatory measures to withdraw from the market and recall the above products.
