Malaysia's Dominant Semiconductor recently launched a new LED K Nova 3W AlInGaP with a size of 7.2 mm x 7.2 mm and a brightness of 90 lm at 700 mA operating current for automotive lighting, general lighting applications and lamps.
According to Dominant, the single crystal LED K Nova has an emission angle of 120° and a package thickness of only 2 mm. It is sealed with an SMT package and a silicon seal. The low heat group Rth(js) = 8K/W, and the heat dissipation efficiency is high.
K Nova 3W AlInGaP will begin mass production in October 2009, with red, yellow and amber colors.
