According to swissinfo, Facebook Germany spokesman Tina Kulow said: "Oculus will open an engineering office specializing in computer vision in Zurich. The news appeared on the Swiss news site Handelszeitung last Thursday.

According to its website, the Zurich Eye project aims to give the machine the ability to "see". Its hardware/software system provides reliable, sub-centimeter accurate position information for navigation robots in both indoor and outdoor environments.
Handelszeitung said that Facebook took over the Zurich Eye project a few weeks ago. The team consists of ten researchers from the ETH Zurich and the University of Zurich and they will join the Oculus office in Zurich.
According to Handelszeitung, Facebook Switzerland also received financial support and its share capital has increased from 120,000 Swiss francs (about 800,000 yuan) to 2,200,000 Swiss francs (about 13.84 million yuan). It is reported that they will focus their funds on research and development.
