Wang Hongru of the Urban Construction Bureau of Huayuan High-tech Industrial Park told reporters that don't underestimate these small windmills and solar panels, they are the heroes who provide power for street lamps.

At night, these stored electricity automatically power the streetlights, which is energy-saving and environmentally friendly. Wang Hongru said that considering the current energy shortage of coal power, in March this year, the park management committee decided to invest millions of yuan, and firstly installed 58 new solar lights combined with solar energy in Meiyuan Road.

Despite the large investment in the early stage, the energy-saving effect of the new street lamp application has been very prominent for several months. It is calculated by lighting for 10 hours per day and the monthly power saving is 609 kWh. According to experts' estimates, the cost of rebuilding the wires and poles is far lower. At present, the cost of one-time investment in installing new street lamps is slightly higher than that of ordinary street lamps, but long-term use can save a lot of money.

Take Meiyuan Road as an example: the road section requires 58 lamps, the price of ordinary lamps is about 5200 yuan / baht, and the price of new street lamps is 8700 yuan / baht. According to the calculation of the 5-year service period, the ordinary street lamp has a one-time investment of 301,600 yuan, the new street lamp is 504,600 yuan; the ordinary street lamp has a electricity cost of 120,000 yuan for 5 years, the new street lamp has no electricity consumption, no cost; the ordinary street lamp has 5 years of maintenance cost. For 100,000 yuan, the new street lamp has no other maintenance costs except for replacing some batteries and wind power supply equipment. In the past five years, the cost of ordinary street lamps was 521,600 yuan, while the new type of street lamps was only 504,600 yuan, which could save 17,000 yuan.

Price, high life, short propaganda, less energy-saving lamps, not good

Despite the shortage of electricity, many places do not have a cold on energy-saving lamps, which is backed by a lot of helplessness. Wang Hongru told reporters.

First of all, the lighting effect of some energy-saving lamps is not satisfactory compared with ordinary lamps. At present, the solar lamps produced by some manufacturers in this city are relatively weak, and the power is only a few watts or tens of watts. Due to technical constraints, the maximum power of this product in the world can only reach 150 watts. Not only that, the life of solar lights is also relatively short, usually only 2 to 5 years.

Second, price is also an insurmountable threshold for energy-saving lamps. In the market, a 10 watt solar light is priced at around 800 yuan. The main reason why prices do not fall is that the cost of the chips they use is too high. At present, domestic wafers used by solar lamps rely entirely on foreign imports at a price of 30 to 33 yuan per watt, while a 10 watt solar lamp requires 20 watts of wafers. That is to say, the cost of the wafer accounts for almost 3/4 of the total cost. Take Meiyuan Road as an example. To meet the 10 hours of lighting every day, the total power of street lamps must reach 145 kilowatts. If all solar lights are installed, a 290 kW wafer is required. If you add other costs, the total cost of streetlights on this road will reach nearly 10 million yuan.

In addition, people in many parts of China have not yet formed a strong awareness of energy conservation. The relevant departments lack corresponding propaganda and policy support, and it is also one of the reasons why energy-saving lamps are not popular in China.
