Seoul Semiconductor, a Korean LED manufacturer, pointed out that Acriche, a proprietary product driven by AC power, achieved a high luminous efficiency of 100 lm/W in February. At the same time as the mass production was started in April 2010, the luminous efficiency of more than 150 lm/W was developed. Due to the official mass production of 100lm/W products in Q1 2010, we will continue to accelerate the research and try to mass produce 150lm/W products.

The 150lm/W product will be put into mass production by the end of 2010. The Acriche will replace halogen, incandescent or fluorescent lamps on a larger scale. Since September 2009, Europe has banned the sale of incandescent bulbs above 100W. In the future, all countries will legally prohibit the use of all inefficient existing light bulbs.
Acriche can be driven by a DC power converter without a DC AC converter. It does not use a converter compared to a conventional LED that uses a converter. It has no power loss and saves the overhead cost by installing a converter. The use of converters reduces carbon emissions and is more environmentally friendly. As a result, two of the world's three largest lighting companies have adopted Acriche mass production lighting products. In addition, more than 100 companies have begun to expand their use.
