Samsung LED-backlit LCD monitors are available for sale in mid-July

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. announced on the 6th that it will begin selling its first LCD monitor, the Samsung XL2370 with its built-in LED backlight module, in South Korea from mid-July. Samsung said that the Samsung XL2370 will be available in Europe and other markets around the world since August. The main specifications are as follows: resolution Full HD 1080P (1920x1080); response time is 2ms (GTG); power consumption is 40% smaller than the average display size; Contrast up to 5,000,000:1.
Sue Shim, senior vice president of marketing for Samsung's electronic visual display division, said in May that LED-backlit LCD TVs will be the winning formula for the company's leading position this year. Shim revealed that Samsung’s cumulative shipments in the six weeks after the release of LED-backlit LCD TVs in March reached 200,000 units.
