Two new trench-type super barrier rectifiers with ultra-low forward voltage, low leakage current, and low temperature operation, effectively meeting the requirements of the charger output rectifier diode, making it easy to handle 36kHz intermittent mode charger design Shorter current pulses.
Two devices from Diodes include the 15A SBRT15U50SP5 for 10W smartphone chargers and the 20A SBRT20U50SLP for 12.5W tablet chargers. These chargers are increasingly slim and compact, and have stringent requirements for efficiency and temperature, and traditional Schottky diode solutions are no longer compatible.
The SBRT15 device has a forward voltage of 0.47V at a current of 15A; the SBRT20 device achieves a forward voltage of 0.5V at a current of 20A, plus an operating temperature of +90oC to minimize conduction loss and improve charger efficiency. . The SBRT15 and SBRT20 achieve low reverse leakage currents of 105mA and 100mA at +125oC, helping to minimize blocking mode losses.
